another use of technology in the classroom

Several days ago I observed a high school science class. The teacher did a great demonstration using the Smartboard - it involved a " bird" hunting peppermoths. It really engaged the students and was a great demonstration of how they blended into the forest.

    The teacher played something like a video on the smart board which showed hard to see moths flying. The student was the bird,which appeared as a shadow. The student would touch the screen where moths were visible and " eat" them. It was very interactive and engaging for all.
